WELCOME TO THE AUSABLE RIVER CENTER

AuSable River
Located just two blocks from the famed South Branch of the AuSable River, in downtown Roscommon, the AuSable River Center is home to a wide variety of river-related art and artifacts.

The Center is open Friday and Saturday afternoons, April through Dec. 15, or by appointment by calling Julia Borak at 989-275-5826. Admission is free. To make a donation or for membership information, call the Center at 989-275-4392.

OUR MISSION
  • To educate the public about the heritage, artifacts, wildlife and environment of the Great AuSable River.
  • To provide a forum to those interested in keeping the river as a viable entity for its natural beauty and recreational opportunities.
  • To provide opportunities for information, education and growth for all interested people.

AuSable River Center

Featuring a stone fireplace and knotty-pine paneling, the interior of the 70-year-old

AuSable River Center reflects the building’s original function, as home to the regional

Department of Natural Resources offices.

 

The AuSable River Center operates under the tax exempt status of the Roscommon Metropolitan Recreation Authority.
